About Me

I graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Master of Library and Information Science in 2013. I’ve primarily worked in school libraries, but did do a one-year term as a Cataloguer at the Manitoba Legislative Library, plus some short stints at public libraries when I first graduated. I’m currently working at Riverbend Community School, a K-5 school part of the Seven Oaks School Division in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I used to blog over at breannebannerman.wordpress.com, but after many years of not doing any updates, I decided to create a (sort of) new site (I’m using the same theme) as I get back into it. My primary purpose for this site is really just to have a place to jot down my thoughts on books that I’ve read to my library classes in my elementary school or to my daughter (or both!). It’s nice to have a list of well-received books that I can refer back to when I’m in a pinch and need to choose a book quickly. I chose the name of my site in honour of my daughter, who we used to call Squirm Worm as a baby, and now just Worm.
